Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work

Grant Year: 2024

Robert Seamans and Callen Anthony will lead the research program of a policy lab exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies will shape the future of work and assessing how those changes might affect employment opportunities for workers from varying economic backgrounds. They will undertake a series of studies, such as an assessment of how AI will change the nature of well-paying “expert work” and how the introduction of AI technologies differs across local economies. The policy lab’s findings will appear in a series of papers.
