Carol Kuntz will identify how the U.S. military may effectively and safely utilize capabilities enabled by artificial intelligence (AI). She will explore policy issues surrounding AI-enabled military capabilities and undertake interviews with Defense Department officials on the Pentagon’s current approach to this issue and with technical experts on options for improving the accuracy of AI algorithms. The project’s findings will be presented in a report.
