Lucky Money: Economic Inducements as a Tool of Chinese Statecraft

William Piekos will assess China’s efforts to use economic inducements to exercise political influence in the developing world. He will collect data and conduct field work to understand the economic and financial inducements provided by China and whether recipient countries have changed their policies on issues of importance to Beijing. The project’s findings will appear in a report.
