Shaun Dougherty will research and write a book exploring how to increase access to and the quality of career and technical education (CTE). He will synthesize existing research on the effectiveness of various CTE programs and address challenges to improving the quality of CTE programs, such as how to increase program intensity, how to incorporate work-based learning, and how to overcome staffing shortages.
