Out and Up: Socioeconomic Mobility at the College-to-Work Transition

Grant Year: 2023

Veronica Minaya and Judith Scott-Clayton will lead the research program of a policy lab examining how public and private investments in higher education can most effectively contribute to increased economic opportunity and social mobility. The lab will analyze data from the City University of New York on student characteristics and performance in school alongside wage records from the state of New York to develop analyses of student transitions from college to employment and to test a variety of interventions designed to support student success in the labor market. The policy lab’s findings will appear in a series of reports, papers, and policy briefs.
