Geoffrey Brown will lead an effort to evaluate whether a statistical model can be used to reduce violent crime by predicting which criminal offenders being released on parole or probation are most likely to commit subsequent crimes and then deploying criminal justice resources strategically to monitor them after they are released from prison. The project’s findings will appear in a report and a series of papers.
